The Executive Summary of the ACCME Board of Directors meeting held March 22-23, 2018 is now available on the ACCME website. 

The ACCME ratified 57 accreditation and reaccreditation decisions. Welcome to the new providers and congratulations to the providers that received Accreditation and Accreditation with Commendation!  

We encourage CME providers to celebrate their success in achieving accreditation and communicate the value of their accreditation and accreditation-related accomplishments by informing their community, stakeholders, and the public. You are welcome to use this messaging.

Also in the executive summary: 

  • As part of its ongoing series of forums with special guests, the Board convened a discussion with invited healthcare leaders on “Professional Development and the Transformation of American Healthcare.” The guests, Board members, and ACCME member organization liaisons discussed their vision for how the ACCME and the CME community could evolve to support efforts to transform American healthcare.
  • The Board adopted a new strategic plan for 2018–2021, which delineates the ACCME’s goals to drive transformation in the learning environment, support the CME community, and simplify and align regulatory systems.
  • The Board was pleased to elect Steven Craig, MD, to serve on the ACCME Board of Directors.
