Avoiding Noncompliance Pitfalls

After reviewing more than 300 accredited providers in 2008-2010, the ACCME has compiled a great deal of information to inform your success at reaccreditation. Fifty percent (50%) of providers reviewed by the ACCME were required to submit Progress Reports because they were found in Noncompliance with one or more of the accreditation requirements. However, many of these Noncompliance issues are easily preventable. To help you avoid these pitfalls, we've collected several video FAQs that address the most common reasons for Noncompliance. Click here to learn more.

Perspectives: CME Leaders Speak Out

Are you wrestling with implementing ‘meaningful use’ of health information technology at your organization?  Listen as Sachin Jain, MD, MBA, Senior Advisor to the Administrator at the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services, discusses the important role accredited CME can play to help physicians integrate health information technology into their practices.

Do you need help integrating education with Quality Improvement and/or Medical Staff Services?  Watch Mike Horst, PhD, Director of Research and CME for Lancaster General Hospital – a state-accredited community hospital in Lancaster, PA – as he shares his successes and challenges in this area.  In this video, Mike also explores a physician leadership development course that his CME Department has developed and implemented.
