Get Help with PARS
The ACCME Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS) is open for use by ACCME-accredited CME providers. We've developed video tutorials and compiled frequently-asked-questions to help get you up and running with the system before the March deadline for entering your 2010 activity and program data. Ready to get started?! Get a brief overview of PARS from Kate Regnier, ACCME's Deputy Chief Executive, by clicking here.
Avoiding Noncompliance Pitfalls
After reviewing more than 300 accredited providers in 2008-2010, the ACCME has compiled a great deal of information to inform your success at reaccreditation. Fifty percent (50%) of providers reviewed by the ACCME were required to submit Progress Reports because they were found in Noncompliance with one or more of the accreditation requirements. However, many of these Noncompliance issues are easily preventable. To help you avoid these pitfalls, we've collected several video FAQs that address the most common reasons for Noncompliance. Perspectives: CME Leaders Speak Out
What is the value of CME within your healthcare-focused organization? Recent interviews with University of Minnesota's Ginny Jacobs, Massachusetts Medical Association's Danna Muir, and Kaiser Permanente's Michelle Beleu tackle this issue by focusing on cultivating physician champions. In another interesting example, the Oklahoma State Medical Association's CME Chair, Dr. Tim Holder discusses an opportunity for CME to address risk management issues.
